Decorative wall panels - marble, wood and patterns: the 2026 trend guide
After the floor, the wall. In residential projects and hospitality alike, the decorative wall panel has become the fastest way to transform a space: no paint, no fragile decorative plaster, no marble to seal — panels that install cleanly and change a room in a day. Here are the three big trends of 2026, and how to use them.
1. The marble look: nobility without the weight
Real marble is heavy, expensive, demanding to install and to maintain. Marble-look panels capture its veined depth — luminous Calacatta, dramatic dark marbles — without the weight or the joints. In 2026 they appear behind hotel headboards, on living-room media walls, and as bathroom cladding where their continuous surface elegantly replaces wall tile.
2. Wood decors: floor-to-wall continuity
The strongest trend of the year: bringing the floor up the wall. The same wood spirit on the floor and on one accent wall creates a warm continuity much sought after in bedrooms and restaurants. This is exactly the logic of the Herculex collections: the wood wall decors are designed to converse with the floor decors — Marrakech with Marrakech, Fès with Fès.
3. Patterns, flutes and geometry
Fluted and geometric panels add relief and play with raking light. In 2026 they define reception desks, headboards and executive-office walls. The rule of use: one statement wall per room — the pattern draws the eye, the other three walls stay calm.
Where to install a wall panel — and where not to
- Ideal: living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, receptions, restaurants, offices — any dry, flat interior wall.
- With care: kitchens (keep away from open flames) and bathrooms (choose humidity-rated panels).
- Avoid: exteriors and surfaces in permanent direct sun.
Pairing wall and floor
Three combinations that always work: a light marble wall over a warm wood floor; a wood wall matched to the floor for an enveloping effect; a patterned wall over a calm, plain floor. The common thread: let a single element dominate.
What Herculex is preparing
Herculex is preparing a collection of wall panels made in Morocco, in three families — marble looks, wood decors matched to the floor collections, and patterned finishes. Leave your email on the Wall Panels page to receive the launch announcement, or talk to the factory now on WhatsApp.
